In Memory of Sue Paskert

8/14/1960 - 6/16/2017

Sue came to South Tampa in 1945. She graduated from Plant High School and received a degree in education from The University of Tampa. Teachng grades 2 through 10 at public and private schools in the area, Sue and her husband George raised their family in South Tampa.

In 1988, Sue and George purchased their first family retreat on Little Gasparilla Island at Hideaway Bay Beach Club. It was an island love affair from the beginning. They later sold the condo and bought a beautiful single family home on the south end of the island. Sue always felt there was nothing better than a family get-away place. Transportation to and from the island is by boat. Look for the "Island Granny" or "My Time II" as family, friends, and various buyers & sellers are taken back and forth to LGI!

On October 9, 1996 Sue learned she had leukemia. She was forced to leave her Real Estate business and work solely on getting healthy. After 7 1/2 years of fighting, she won the fight against leukemia and lived a healthy, happy life working in the business that she loved: Real Estate!

However, in the spring of 2017 Sue and her family were stunned by the news that she had yet another kind of cancer and the battle, which Sue had been so brave in fighting, was lost on June 16th. Words cannot convey how much she will be missed.  Sue left a legacy and a reputation that we, her family, are committed to.

Dedicated to Sue's "Client-First" philosophy!

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional: Integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which were hallmarks of Sue's real estate career. In Sue's experience as a South Tampa and Little Gasparilla Island Real Estate Professional, she found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting clients first. This meant keeping herself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to clients' needs.

This "client first" philosophy was always Sue's approach. She and George instilled it in their daughter, Lynne. Honest, hard work, and a willingness to serve others are the virtues that Sue & George passed on to Lynne. Now that the Real Estate baton has been handed off to Lynne and George, Sue's"client first" legacy lives on!

  • "We recently purchased a condo on Little Gasparilla Island, in Florida and Sue Paskert was our realtor for this sale. We couldn’t have asked for a more professional, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable person to help us with this process. Sue made our transaction seamless and provided us with all the contacts and information that we needed moving forward. Not living in Florida, it was very important that we handle everything in an organized timely manner. Sue made that happen. Her knowledge of the Island, and her wide range of contact information took all the stress out of our purchase. Sue made us a priority. When we needed information and called, she always returned our call in a timely fashion, and many times she was busy, but took the time to answer the phone just to let us know she would call ASAP. Having worked with other realtors in the past, Sue was by far the easiest and most efficient realtor to work with that we have encountered."

  • "Sue Paskert of Palermo Real Estate Professionals was one of the most knowledgeable and helpful realtor we have ever had the pleasure to work with. There is a lot to be said for knowing the territory, and Sue was there for us to navigate property options, research history and perform necessary due diligence from the beginning to the end of our purchase journey on Little Gasparilla Island. Sue is extremely professional, ethical and always aims to serve her client, buyer or seller to the highest standards. When we have the need again for a realtor, Sue will be the one we call."

  • "My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Sue and George Paskert while purchasing on Little Gasparilla Island this year. What a lovely buying experience!!! Before we started looking at properties I was told that Sue was "THE" on island realtor and I couldn't agree more! Sue was extremely punctual, professional, courteous, and an absolute wealth of knowledge when it comes to the island. We could not be happier with our purchase and are looking forward to many years of family memories on LGI. "
