In Memory of Sue Paskert
8/14/1960 - 6/16/2017
Sue came to South Tampa in 1945. She graduated from Plant High School and received a degree in education from The University of Tampa. Teachng grades 2 through 10 at public and private schools in the area, Sue and her husband George raised their family in South Tampa.
In 1988, Sue and George purchased their first family retreat on Little Gasparilla Island at Hideaway Bay Beach Club. It was an island love affair from the beginning. They later sold the condo and bought a beautiful single family home on the south end of the island. Sue always felt there was nothing better than a family get-away place. Transportation to and from the island is by boat. Look for the "Island Granny" or "My Time II" as family, friends, and various buyers & sellers are taken back and forth to LGI!
On October 9, 1996 Sue learned she had leukemia. She was forced to leave her Real Estate business and work solely on getting healthy. After 7 1/2 years of fighting, she won the fight against leukemia and lived a healthy, happy life working in the business that she loved: Real Estate!
However, in the spring of 2017 Sue and her family were stunned by the news that she had yet another kind of cancer and the battle, which Sue had been so brave in fighting, was lost on June 16th. Words cannot convey how much she will be missed. Sue left a legacy and a reputation that we, her family, are committed to.
Dedicated to Sue's "Client-First" philosophy!
There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional: Integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which were hallmarks of Sue's real estate career. In Sue's experience as a South Tampa and Little Gasparilla Island Real Estate Professional, she found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting clients first. This meant keeping herself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to clients' needs.
This "client first" philosophy was always Sue's approach. She and George instilled it in their daughter, Lynne. Honest, hard work, and a willingness to serve others are the virtues that Sue & George passed on to Lynne. Now that the Real Estate baton has been handed off to Lynne and George, Sue's"client first" legacy lives on!
